Hypnosis Facts
Hypnosis is a natural state of concentration, combined with heighten awareness.
We all experience this naturally  throughout the day.
Chance are, at one time or another, you found yourself driving along a freeway,
day-dreaming, and you pass your exit. Or perhaps you find yourself standing in your
kitchen trying to remember what you went in to get.
You have just experienced
hypnosis.
See, in the hypnotic state the conscious mind simply steps aside so that the
subconscious mind can be spoken to.
The practice of hypnosis has been around for thousands of years in many different
cultures. Other terms for hypnosis are: deep relaxation guided imagery, and
day-dreaming.
In 1958 hypnosis was approved by the American Medical Association. (AMA)
Questions Concerning Hypnosis
What is a Hypnotherapist?
A Hypnotherapist is a skilled and trained professional, who helps you to use your
own mind to increase motivation or change behavior patterns by inducing a state of
deep relaxation known as hypnosis.
In the hypnotic state, the door way between the conscious mind and the
subconscious mind is opened. Here can be found the information needed  to solve
problems, heal wounds, and release creative energies.
Memories become easily accessible and new information is stored.
The Hypnotherapist will teach you how to relax, deeply relax, letting go of any
judgements or fears.
In the hypnotic state you are not thinking in the traditional sense, but experiencing
without analyzing, judging, or criticizing.
This is where the Hypnotherapist can make suggestions that are more likely to
"stick". This happens because your conscious mind isn't getting in the way, or being
critical of the suggestions. Therefore, you accept the advice, and positive changes
are created.
We have
enough
people who
tell it like it is-
Now we could
use a few
who tell it like
it can be.
